Collection of Hauptabteilung soziale Verwaltung (HSV), the Labor and Welfare department of the Generalkommissariat zur besonderen Verwendung in the Netherlands, 1942-1944
 
 The department was established in order to draft Dutch laborers to factories in Germany and Eastern Europe, the Arbeitseinsatz;
 
 Included in the collection:
 
 Documents from the Hauptabteilung soziale Verwaltung (HSV), regarding the draft of Dutchmen to labor in the East, and their labor conditions, 1942;
 
 Documents from the HSV, regarding the regulations for the draft of Dutchmen to the Arbeitseinsatz, 1942;
 
 Letter to the Ruestungsinspektion Niederlaende (Ammunitions Inspection department in the Netherlands) in Amsterdam by the Den Helder shipyards inspector, and an announcement by the head department for social administration regarding new appointments, 1943 and 1944;
 
 Documents from the HSV, including correspondence by a young Dutchman, C. Reimus, who requests to be released from the Arbeitseinsatz in order to complete his studies in the school for Marconist wireless operators, 1944; 
 
 Application for release from detention in the Amersfoort transit camp, submitted by the Dutchman, B. van Driel, 1944;
 
 Documents from HSV Arbeitsamt Alkmaar, including lists with names of Dutchmen who evaded their obligation to present themselves to the Arbeitseinsatz, 1943-1944;
 
 Documents from HSV, including monthly reports from the local office of the Amersfoort labor bureau, regarding the Arbeitseinsatz and the unemployment situation, 1944;
 
 Permits granted to Jewish merchants by the Amsterdam municipality, to open their shops on Sundays instead of on the Jewish Sabbath, and announcements regarding the cancellation of these permits, 1939-1940;
 
 Documents of the HSV, regarding the labor conditions of the "Eigen" German construction company, 1942-1944.
